"first and foremost is my desire to reveal beautiful music"

Thank you for visiting my page. I’d like to share with you what Piano music means to me and talk a little bit about my ongoing journey to bring out the beauty of melodies combined with this glorious instrument.

There are at least three different sources that I use to collect ideas for my music. First off is many years of watching movies. Granted that I’m a child of the 70’s, a teen of the 80’s and an adult of the 90’s and beyond. So I will tend to draw from those older time periods. Not to say that i won’t use a more modern film score to transcribe to piano and give it my own touch. But the vast majority of film music I’ve used and will use, stems from way back starting in the 60’s. One thing I’ll try to do is not record a film score that’s too popular or has been done many times. So with that in mind I’ll go with a lesser known but beautiful theme and if it’s never been transcribed to piano, then I consider it a great pick. Example; the 3:10 to Yuma theme. (Composed by Marco Beltrami) The second source of influence is Classical and Romantic era music. I’m particularly fond of the Guitar pieces from the romantic era as several of them make an excellent transition when played on the Piano. A clear example of this is the Spanish Romance (composer unknown) The third influence is music of which I’m inspired to create on my own. In other words, original compositions. One of which was composed for my daughter (Daliana’s Song) and another was inspired by my infant niece (La Bebe). Although i can do more original content if i chose that path, I I believe in bringing out these melodies from the movies, of which some I consider hidden gems, to the new ears of the streaming age as well as to those that can appreciate the piano makeover of those wonderful themes. The piano allows me to expand, improvise, surprise, and build on these themes in a way that becomes a pleasure in the moment of creativity. Also, knowing this will be heard for the first time and in my own molding if you will, enhances the joy even more. So for example, many people have heard Nadia’s theme (Barry Dervorzon) before, but they’ve never heard this version which I’m now touching up to put out on world wide display. So in the hopes of reaching a new generation of listeners and audiences familiar with that theme, I’m proud to present it in a new “style”.

For those listening for the first time, please allow me to make a small suggestion. As great as some personal wireless phones can be, and some are quite expensive, please don’t do yourself the injustice of just listening on these devices without a connected bluetooth speaker OR at least with use of headphones. The piano has nuanced notes, chords, phrases, bass, lyrical moments and emotions that may not be heard unless the listening is coupled with a decent quality speaker or headphones. Automobiles with streaming stereo are amazing also. Again, just a strong suggestion.
